If you're looking for a place to shop, eat, and drink in Denver, look no further than 16th Street Mall. Opened in 1982, this 1.7-mile pedestrianized stretch is lined with more than 300 stores, restaurants, and bars. But don't worry, you can easily get from one end to the other on a free shuttle bus. When seen from above, the granite tiles resemble a diamondback rattlesnake—a cool design element added by renowned architect I.M. Pei. Check out 16th Street Mall on a city tour of Denver, which often includes a stop here.
